18 I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired servants.’ 20 So he got up and went to his father. “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22 “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate.
When I sin I often think of Luke 15:21
I feel so retched and awful. Dirty. Soiled. Stained.
But there is forgiveness. In the story of the Prodigal son, see how his father RUNS to him and HUGS him. His father is a rich man and in those days it was undignified for a rich man to run, especially to a son who had taken his inheritance before his father died. He was basically saying he didn't care if his father was dead or alive. But after going to the great cities and wasting on of his money on parties
( Luke 15:11-16) , He came to his senses in verse 17.
God wants to take your brokenness and turn you into a beautiful piece of art: a stained glass window.
We all need to come to our senses and realize that when we are sinning, it's not just about us,
it's about God.
21 “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’
We were never worthy, but when we repent, God is ready to swoop you into a big hug and forgive you.
Something to remember: We often sin when we are-
-Hungry
-Tired
-Bored
So beware of the snares of the devil.
Luke 4:13
When the devil had finished all this tempting,
he left him until an opportune time.
